Feeding our animals with food you’ve brought yourself is strictly prohibited. The wrong food or too much food can make animals sick and may even kill them! Please also do not bring food into the walk-through enclosures or eat near the animals. We understand that you want to do something nice for our animals, and feeding them is a lot of fun. That’s why we offer animal feed at certain locations, such as the Petting Safari. There are also many VIP Safaris where you’re allowed to feed the animals yourself. The types and amounts of food we provide are tailored to our animals’ daily needs.
We love animals—including your dog! He’s a welcome guest, and you don’t have to pay an admission fee for him. To ensure his safety, however, he must always be under your supervision and kept on a leash. We ask that you bring poop bags with you and carefully pick up after your four-legged friend. There are some areas where your dog is not allowed for safety reasons: show performances, rides and boats, park-owned vehicles (double-decker bus & VIP safaris), as well as all walk-in enclosures, petting safaris, and the footpath to the elephants. Please do not leave your dog alone in your car—this can be life-threatening, especially in high temperatures!
You can redeem one free child ticket per car for a child between the ages of 3 and 12 if at least one accompanying adult in the car pays the regular admission price. The free ticket cannot be combined with other discounts or promotional offers. In that case, you must choose one discount. Please note: The afternoon ticket is a discounted ticket. It cannot be combined with the free ticket. The free children’s ticket cannot be redeemed for cash.
Every car entering our grounds must obtain its own parking ticket. The fee applies regardless of whether you drive through the wildlife area by car or on the Serengeti Bus, and whether you park at the edge of the park afterward or leave the grounds immediately. As a day visitor, you can purchase the car ticket at the ticket office or in the online shop. Overnight guests arriving after 4 p.m. pay the parking fee at the lodge reception desk.
If you drive through the Serengeti Safari in your own car, you do so at your own risk. We are not liable for any damage to your vehicle. Please note that convertibles with folding roofs or vehicles with loose attachments are not permitted to drive through the Serengeti Safari for safety reasons! Feeding the animals and leaving the vehicle are prohibited! Alternatively, you can take the Serengeti Bus Safari for just 7.50 euros per person (children under 3 are free)! Here, you can relax and enjoy the trip while learning lots of interesting facts about our animals. The tour starts at the bus departure point and lasts one hour.
If you drive your own car through the Serengeti Safari, you do so at your own risk. We are not liable for any damage to your vehicle. For safety reasons, convertibles with folding roofs or vehicles with loose attachments are not permitted to drive through the Serengeti Safari! There is a significant risk of injury to the animals.
Unfortunately, no. Our animals do not follow traffic laws or the posted traffic signs. Therefore, we ask that you drive through the Serengeti Safari with extra care and caution. Overtaking other vehicles should be avoided whenever possible, and if it is necessary, it should be done very slowly and at a safe distance. It may be that the vehicle in front of you simply cannot move forward because a rhino is standing right in front of it on the road, leisurely going about its business. The rule applies everywhere on the grounds: Animals always have the right of way!
In the walk-in enclosures, you can get up close and personal with our animals and enjoy their company. Please do not try to lure the animals toward you; if you remain calm, they will come to you on their own when they feel like it. Under no circumstances should you feed them food you’ve brought yourself—the wrong food or too much food can be fatal! Please treat the animals with respect and remain calm when near them. Pay special attention to your children’s behavior. Picking them up, holding them, chasing them, shouting at them, and similar behavior can lead to serious injuries to the animals. Bags, backpacks, handcarts, strollers, etc., should be left outside, and jacket pockets should remain closed.
The amusement park offers a colorful variety of shows, as well as educational feeding demonstrations featuring the chimpanzees and predators at the edge of the Jungle Safari. You can find the daily schedule on the notice boards in the park and in the flyer available at the ticket office and the information desk. Please note that last-minute changes may occur due to current circumstances; we appreciate your understanding.
Out of consideration for the environment and other guests, we ask that you smoke only in the designated smoking areas and dispose of cigarette butts in the ashtrays provided there. Did you know that the toxins in a single used cigarette filter are enough to contaminate 40 to 60 liters of groundwater and negatively impact plant growth?
The use of cannabis is strictly prohibited throughout the entire premises! Please be aware of this, as violations may result in expulsion from the premises!

Please comply with this rule at all times, as we will exercise our right to remove you from the premises immediately in the event of any violations.
